Nathan Sawaya makes stuff out of Lego. Not like you and I make crappy toy guns and houses though. No, Sawaya makes art. If you want to see it, his exhibition “Art of the Brick” is now open in Sydney!
With a huge collection of artworks, some of which include more than a million bricks, the exhibition is running until February 3rd next year and costs $17.50 for adults and $12.50 for kids. The price includes the ability to sit down and play with Lego bricks yourself after viewing the exhibition – or at the very least giving your kids some quality play time with the artistic medium.
And if that doesn’t entice you, maybe the massive Lego store you have to go through when you leave will?

I know half-a-dozen people who did go and they all say it was brilliant.
Sydney folk – get off your arse and go – don’t miss it like I did!

Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:04 AMI caught it in Melb and expected a bit more for the money. Maybe I’m just comparing to big Lego exhibitions that used to happen when I was a kid, but apart from a few clever ones I was a bit let down. Should have enjoyed the photos online and bought a lego set.
