If your bedroom is positioned in such a way that you don’t get much light all year ’round, there’s a way to now fake sunlight with these illuminated faux-shades.
Designed by Makoto Hirahara, Bright Blinds are constructed from electroluminescent sheets and controlled just like conventional window treatments. Tug on the cords to turn them on and adjust the brightness with the plastic twisty-wand. Just make sure your cat doesn’t try use one as an escape route.
Bright Blinds are available at Generate, though no price has been set (read: they’re expensive). [Geekologie]

Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 9:34 AMYes.. it’s a good idea.. but why would they be expensive.. some basic strip LEDs, basic blinds and some double sided tape. Sounds like a project for the DIY’ers out there.
