Stephen Colbert: Let’s Invade Australia [Video]

Gizmodo AU

So US President Obama lands in Canberra on Wednesday, and though PM Gillard won’t yet confirm it, the Wall Street Journal suggests “a new and permanent US military presence in Australia” will be announced. Stephen Colbert’s take: We’re “Australian for f**ked.”

The WSJ actually says no new US bases are planned, with the new agreement likely focused on granting American naval ships ongoing access to local facilities and expanded joint exercises.

Still, as Colbert says, “Australia is the gateway to New Zealand, and we know those hobbits have a weapon of mass destruction.” [Wall Street Journal]

Sigh. Will definitely look it up though. How I miss Stephen!!

Also, as long as Stephen becomes our ruler? I say we surrender immediately and get ready for a new Golden Age of Truthiness.

I vote NO to US occupation of the Commonwealth? I can vote no right…Section four of Crown law defines Sedition as any act causing Government, Law, Constitution, Sovereign to be held in hatred and or contempt so The Government requires my approval and the approval of every citizen least we deem them to have caused government, law, constitution, sovereign to be held in hared and or contempt right?

I’m sorry, but by that logic, Victoria shouldn’t have anti-hoon driving laws because you might anger the hoons.

      Logically fallacy is fallacy.

Wait, if America invades Australia, does that mean America (which is Allied with Australia) would have to come to its defense?

It makes perfect sense, America could have another civil war without all the hassle of cleaning up after themselves. Its not like there isn’t plenty of room for them to duke it out in the desert. The winner gets to call how this whole “socialism” thing plays out.

And considering how long it takes for things to pass in the US congress with its lobbyists and special interests, blowing a couple of Trillion (US) on this could be the best investment the US has made since B.Clinton gave all that money to Mexico in the 90′s…

Why invade a vassal state of your own empire, which is all we are. Its like invading Puerto Rico or Guam, you already own them as well.
