Star Wars Fan Builds A Docking Bay For His Millennium Falcon

Why yes, that is a LEGO Millennium Falcon perched inside a diorama of Docking Bay 327, the scene of Obi-Wan and Darth Vader’s battle. It was created by German builder David Wagner and measures an impressive 90cm x 100cm. The project required roughly 10,500 bricks, four months, and 1,000 € to complete.

Where do people find the time to do this sort of thing?! Don’t they have jobs, families, etc?! Wish I could spare four months to do something like this. I wouldn’t do it, but I wish I had that sort of spare time.

He’s part of the AFOL (adult fans of lego) community, this was on Eurobricks frontpage a while back.

But like any hobby, it takes money and time. Lego’s up there with ‘cocaine addiction’ as costs go, but it nurtures creativity so many of us find it rewarding.

you’ll always find the time if you’re serious about something. I have a wife, 3 kids, two bands, various sporting events and music lessons for the kids, write for a film blog and work full time and still found time to customise and paint my own electric guitar…..and it came out just perfect. (about four months too)

If you’re passionate, you’ll make time for it.
