Man, HTC is becoming everyone’s favourite law court gimp. Now even porn behemoth Vivid — the largest in the world — is threatening to sue them. Vivid sent a cease-and-desist letter saying that their HTC Vivid smartphone is breaching their trademark.
If they don’t change the name by Monday, they will sue, says Vivid. HTC legal department is reviewing the complain, which sadly may not contain any spreads. [TMZ, The Verge]

Unless HTC wants to start producing porn they are in a different industry and consumers are unlikely to be confused by the name so it would get thown out of court faster than … hmm maybe i wont finish that sentence.
