There’s a reason old hardware doesn’t get new software upgrades. Like the iPhone 3G’s iOS 4 update, this unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Android phone that started it all, is, well… crippling.
Still, it just goes to show what’s possible when developers put their heads together. Where I couldn’t stand to use anything that unbelievably slow, I tip my hat to them in admiration for their perseverance. [XDA Developers via Engadget via Gizmodo UK]

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:07 AMThe default home screen (phone’s desktop) is pretty laggy. Why didn’t you just change that. Heck its free and if you like iOS just get one that doesn’t support widgets and shows all your icons at once on the main screen.
