Now HP Might Be Selling WebOS

Contradicting earlier reports from the Guardian, Reuters reported on late Monday that four sources close to the matter have confirmed that webOS is being sought by companies, potentially Oracle, and that HP is weighing the benefits of a potential sale. PC Magazine has further analysis.

    The best possible outcome would be for them to gift it to the world, similar to what happened with WordStar, which evolved into Open Office. It would be great PR for HP, and would secure the future potential for the OS.
    I’m sure there are enough dev’s who would continue to support it. They just need to know that the OS has a future.
