Lunchtime Deal: Motorola Xoom WiFi $399

Gizmodo AU

OK, the Xoom’s quickly being replaced by the Xoom 2 and Xoom Media Edition, but if you’ve got a hankering for some honeycomb action right now, it’s worth noting that the official price of the WiFi Xoom variant just dropped off a cliff to $399. The Xoom’s not the greatest tablet ever, but that’s a pretty good price, and it’s a fair bet that there’ll be a little bit of discounting going on to drive that price even lower if you shop around.

It’s via press release; $399 is the new RRP. The release notes JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Costco as retail outlets; I’d be surprised if it didn’t show up online a little cheaper again.

Costco had it over 100 cheaper than anywhere else. I suspect it will be a lot better there.

Went to Harvey Norman on Friday night, they will not sell it at the new $399 because they have not been notified of price drop from Motorla. They said it is still $499. Alex where is the press release from Motorla stating $399?

+ Postage puts it over the $399 retail. I’ll wait to see if Kogan have a price drop later today.
