The end of the year is nigh, and that means it’s time to sort out what the best products of the year have been. Today’s first category up for nominations is TV. Which flat panel impressed you the most?
Are you a Plasma fanatic or an LCD devotee? Did Sony send shivers down your spine, or did LG indeed give you a good life? Whatever your choice, nominations are now open. There’s only one way to make your choice for television of the year known, and that’s by getting noisy in the comments below.
We’ve already opened up nominations for the best laptop and best mobile as well — you’re free to nominate as many times as you like.
We’ll roll out the rest of the nominations this week, so keep your comments in this article TV centric for now, and check back next Tuesday when TV voting commences!

Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 12:12 PMSamsung UA40D6000 or Sony KDL40EX720 both are 3D capable with superb picture quality and decent refresh rates of 100hz (200 hz CMR:Clear Motion Rate/ Motion Flow) and 40 inch…able to be picked up for under $1000. Both are smart tv but the sony is +1 for ability to internet browse which samsung doesnt have. Larger would be Samsung UA55D7000 with true 200hz and CMR400 hz(maybe CMR600) and the Screen looks beautiful. RRP was $3799 but can be picked up retail sub $2700. Also to note the LG 55lw6500 with cinema display 3d because the glasses are so cheap and i think its 3D depth is best of them all even tho its only 720p 3d the drop in clarity is unnoticeable in current 3D tech from standard viewing distance. 4 sets of glasses just $40 not the usual $100 per 1.

Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:36 PM+1. The 64D8000 looks so nice in my living room :D. I’m glad that Samsung decided to kick start their plasma development to try to keep up with Panasonic plasma quality. Also love the Panasonic VT30 but it was a lot more expensive than the Samsung. Sony has lost it now, 2 years ago they were awesome. LG are just lol. Passive 3D is nasty on big screens.
