Culturemodo: Noam Chomsky Speaks For Ideas At The House


Famous MIT professor Noam Chomsky was in Sydney last week to accept Australia’s only international peace prize and talk at a sold-out Q&A event as part of Ideas at the House. The talk is now available to watch online, and there are plenty more events featuring some of the world’s greatest minds coming up.

Ideas at the House is “a melting pot of stimulating conversation and provocative debate by the world’s greatest minds and culture creators” and is running at the Sydney Opera House all summer. As part of the event, Professor Chomsky sat down with former SBS presenter Mary Kostakidis to answer audience questions on problems of knowledge and freedom, manufactured consent and the fabrication of consumer culture.
