Have you seen a gas giant wandering aimlessly through space? Our solar system might have lost it while dealing with some dynamic instability 600 million years ago. It might be blue, is probably big and is believed to be somewhere deep in the Milky Way Galaxy.
Not to be confused with Tyche, which may or may not be hiding/captured in the Kuiper belt belt along the outer reaches of the Galaxy, this nameless planet was first noticed missing yesterday when the Southwest Research Institute revealed data from simulations showing the evolution of planetary orbits only make sense if there was a 10th (9th? 11th?) planet hovering around in the solar system all those years ago.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this unnamed, theoretical planet, please contact the Southwest Research Institute.

“Kulper asteroid belt along the outer reaches of the Galaxy” – try Kuiper Belt on the edge of the Solar System.
“…dealing with some dynamic instability 600 million years ago.” – try “dynamical instability when the solar system was only about 600 million years old.”

Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:33 PMCorrect me if i am wrong(I’m not), but isn’t the Kuiper (not Kulper) belt in the outer reaches of the solar system, not galaxy?

Monday, November 14, 2011 at 6:07 PMHUGE SPOILER ALERT – READ NO FURTHER – Melancholia
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1527186/
My source in Norway tells me that Kirsten Dunst’s depressing performance (bolstered only by her full frontal nudity) in the “I can foresee the end of the world, life, don’t talk to me about life” crap-fest that is Melancholia made the ‘earth destroyed by giant wandering planet’ a welcome relief, too bad the movie opens with the apocalypse instead of ending with it. PS – a teepee will not protect you from a massive inter-planetary collision, this is why Jack Bauer sneaks off to the stables to commit suicide, this, or getting away from the depressing and naked Kirsten Dunst.
