When it’s finally available, Asus’ Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be inevitably compared and reviewed against the iPad. And one feature that will certainly help its cause is this Smart Cover that takes a more intricate folding approach to Apple’s original design.
Revealed on Amazon’s German site, the $US53 Smart Cover doesn’t do much in the naming department to differentiate itself from Apple’s offering. But instead of simply rolling up to form a stand when not in use, the sides fold in, letting it prop up the Transformer Prime in either landscape or portrait orientations. Whether or not it will work better than Apple’s original design remains to be seen, but at least Asus is putting a little effort into trying to differentiate their tablet and accessories.
