All We Hear Is Rdio Gaga?

Streaming service Rdio will launch in Australia in early 2012 according to reports, adding yet another player to the rapidly expanding subscription music service scene.

The Next Web reports that US-based streaming media company Rdio will expand beyond American shores next year, with plans to launch in Germany and Australia in “early 2012”. It’s just launched a service in Brazil, but there’s no word on what “early” actually means in context. A brief glance at pricing suggests that, at $US9.99 per month for unlimited device use (or $US4.99 for Web-only) it may be comparable to, but not undercutting the existing services. [The Next Web]
