Woz Remembers Steve Jobs

Here’s a video of Steve Wozniak, the cheery man who co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs (and Ron Wayne), talking about Steve Jobs’s passing. Woz said he found out Steve Jobs died when a reporter called and asked him if he had heard the news. At that point, he instantly knew what that meant.

Few knew Steve as well as Woz did, it’s nice to see him reminisce about his old friend. Check out another video of Woz on The Early Show below.

Can’t help thinking apple would have been a better place if this guy had stayed involved.

Agreed, Woz always seems like such a nice bloke. Jobs always had a slightly megalomaniacal bent. If Woz had stayed around maybe he would have balanced Jobs out. But he was never the business guy, that was always Jobs.

Haha, I thought about that when I was typing. Woz just always comes across as really nice in interviews while Steve never did.

Without going all fanboy-ish, I never really liked anything Jobs did after he came back to apple. For me thats were he started to go “bad”. Not saying he didn’t do it really well, which he obviously did. He just went the full circle from being the blonde girl with the sledgehammer in the Apple mac advert to being the guy on the screen brainwashing everyone.

Woz dropped out of Apple following a plane crash, after which he suffered from amnesia and thought every day was a weekend. He couldn’t really remember who he was, so he re-enrolled at college using the name Rocky ‘Raccoon’ Clark and completed his degree.

    Fu#king awesome man!
