I really wanted to like the Nokia N9 — but ultimately I just couldn’t. What I do rather like is Nokia’s arty video showing the production methods used to produce each N9.
Sure, it’s a little overblown in places, but it’s an interesting look into the production methodology that’ll almost certainly be part of the Sea Ray/N800 build process as well. [Slashgear]

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2:24 PMGreat. I didn’t realise how labour-intensive it was. I assumed it would mostly be done by machines.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2:40 PMi very much doubt the first WP7 from Nokia will be the N800 because that was a early Maemo device from Nokia and they have dropped the letter from there model numbers its most likely going to be the 800

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:18 PMIsn’t the N9 their latest phone? They kept the letter there.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 3:31 PMno sign of Chinese slave labour in the nokia camp it seems.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 4:36 PMYeah, they prefer Eastern European slave labour. I did some checking and they have plants in Hungary and Romania, which I am sure is a really good thing for those economies.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 4:53 PMYes but these have excellent quality control. sadly the WP7 will not be made in these factories so you can expect some cheap crap sporting WP7 soon. Another top call by Elop

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:17 PMAnd you know that how, exactly? Nokia is putting their entire future in the hands of WinPhone, they would be complete idiots not to make them in their best factories, to the highest possible standard, especially for their launch devices. If Sea-Ray is going to use the same hardware as the N9, you can bet they will make it in the same factory.
