Why? It’s a great network, much better than Vodafone and Three, and the price is damn good.

I have been with Virgin for 3 years now – only because the contract. I learned my lesson that cheap is never the best! You pay for what you get.

Wouldn’t touch it? Why not? They use optus’s network which is one of the best in the country…in some places even better than Telstra!

I’ve been with them for a few years now and never had ay problems at all!

So… everyone else’s price (including apples official price) goes down, but Virgin jacks it up??

I used to tolerate Virgins poor customer service but their value is getting worse and worse every year.

(im with Voda now, shitty service and reception, but they are the new value kings)

if you use an rss feed, or see a blurb of the article on the main page of a site, ‘after the jump’ is when you click the ‘read more’ link and actually see the whole article.

Also the ability to basically pay the PPP price after 6 months means you can be out of a contract after roughly 11 months! I’ve done the maths for a 32gb 4s.

I have been with Virgin now for 6 months and I have been very happy with the service so far. No the 3g isn’t blistering speeds, but for what I need its fine tethering (jailbreak) with my Ipad 2 when I am desperate.

Virgin mobile broadband is a separate story, I was actually tethering faster than my girlfriends mobile broadband both on virgin hehe!!

    :)

Can you explain how you come to this conclusion – with virgin there is no penalty to exit the contract after 6 months by paying only the balance of the PPP + any unpaid bills.

The fair go $49 & $59 plans (I am not sure about the others) have unlimited text messaging to any mobile network in aus.

Does anyone know if the phone would be locked to the Virgin (Optus) network?
