MacBook Pro Updated With Faster Processors, Better Graphics

We’ve been waiting for this quiet MacBook Pro refresh and it’s just like what we expected: slightly better. All across the board, the processors are a tick faster, the graphics are a wee better and the hard drive storage is bigger.

This update ain’t bringing a new MacBook Air-like form factor, and to be honest, it’s barely an update. The 13-inch MBP’s 2.3GHz Core i5 and 2.7GHz Core i7 is now 2.4GHz and 2.8GHz, respectively. Hard drive space has been bumped to 500GB (from 320GB). The 15-inch MacBook Pro’s standard processor is now a 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz Core i7 (from 2.0 and 2.2) with a new AMD Radeon 6750M with 512MB memory on the low-end and a Radeon HD 6770M with 1GB of memory on the higher-end model. The 17-inch MBP matches the same updates as the higher end 15-inch MBP. So yeah, an update that’s only an update for the sake of an update. [Apple via AppleInsider
