Good! Considering they’ve got no replacement for it, it would make no sense to discontinue it.

      Totally agree.

Would love a refresh of this product. 250gb would be awesome. Unfortunately it’s hard enough to find other brands with hard drive players at all, let alone anything over 160gb.

Is there no market for high capacity mp3 players? Sad…

+1 My music libary is almost pushing 300Gb, I hate not being able to have all of it in the car or on flights, I wouldn’t even mind an absurd price tag.

I used to have a 120Gb one of these a few years back.

Is there any kind of alternate firmware etc for these that would allow me to load up new music via windows explorer? After loading music onto my SGSII via this method, I wouldn’t be able to go back to being tethered to itunes.

I’ve used SharePod for ages on my classic, it’s great.

This is a relief. I love my iPod classic, I’ve had it for a few years, and I see myself replacing it if it winds up giving up the ghost. The one at the top of my list to try next was a Zune, but apparently Microsoft is giving up on that, so it’s not much of an option.

I guess I should start stockpiling high capacity media players, because they seem to be on their way out.
