Everything You Need To Know About That Freaky Dream Last Night

Still can’t quite shake the feeling that your high school PE teacher is sneaking up behind you on the back of a fiery dragon steed? This video will explain everything you need to know about why your brain dreamt it up. Stupid brain.

Some of the info might be a rehash of what you’ve heard before, yes. But I haven’t seen dream science packed into such an entertaining package since Michel Gondry got crazy with a yarn pony back in 2006. [bestofyt via The Daily What]

Great video. Very interesting (especially the signal replay part, I always wondered if that happened)… I’ve experimented with Lucid Dreaming before – I was on nicotine patches and had one, I read the pack the next day and seen they can induce lucid dreaming. I thought it was amazing, I very very rarely remember dreams, but this particular one had a lot of detail… I read alot about it and watched the movie Walking Life (recommend you watch this before the dreams… Or while high). And noticed a lot of attention going into clocks… I can not explain how spot on the clock clue is. If you aren’t sure if you’re dreaming, just try to look at a clock. The first time I tried to do this in my sleep I looked at the clock about 20 times in a row, each time I had different numbers (and random lighting of LED segmants on the display). Then in my dream I stood in the dark loungeroom for about 30 minutes staring at a window… I’m not sure if I did this or not. Another time I was in a house which was like a mixture of many houses of friends and families of my life at the time, and some weird shit happened, like children were running in a room, but I (conciously?) went in and it was empty… I can’t wait to experience it again, it is pretty trippy.

Haha trippy, do you remember what brand of nicotine patch it was?

Perhaps the nicotine enduced a hightened sense of perception.

Were you a regular smoker or just tried it for the hell of it?

I was a full time smoker… (I am again now)… They was Nicobate, stage 2… Just remember: You need to know how to tell signs you are in a lucid dream. You notice this if you dream you are repetitivly waking up.. But the clock tactic works the best… Once you realize it, you can open your mind up and control things… But it takes practice to keep it up, it’s very easy to become lazy and just let the dream play itself out… lol, it’s like dreaming that you’re going to sleep.
