Xbox 360 And Kinect Price Drops

Gizmodo AU

Microsoft has announced that the recommended retail price of Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle will drop by $50 as of tomorrow. This takes the price of the 4GB Xbox 360 down to $399 and the 250GB Xbox 360 bundle to $499.

The news comes after Sony officially dropped its PS3 pricing by $150. Microsoft is also introducing an “entry level” package that includes a stand-alone 4GB Xbox 360 with built-in Wi-Fi, a black wireless controller, a standard definition composite A/V cable and a free one-month Xbox LIVE Gold membership. This console will cost $249.

Is this a big enough price-drop? Will you consider picking up an Xbox if you don’t already have one? Let us know!

I wonder if the bundles are going to get any price change?

I was looking at getting the gears of war 3 bundle but if theres a $50 discount on the other packs than I might get them instead.

Target also has the 250Gb bundle for $399… hopefully someone will also sell the entry level console for $100 less!

Wasn’t this already up somewhere on Gizmondo/Kotaku with comments about the wrong consoles?

My fiance is getting the Gears of War 3 console some time very early on Tuesday morning. Which means I will probably just set up the old one.

Hmmm tempting! Already own a PS3, but I’d like to be able to easily get a match late at night since the PS3′s servers are deadly quiet after 11pm!

Recently bought one from Target in August if I remember correctly…
250Gb with Kinect + 4 additional Kinect games total price paid $499… total price of the entire package $834… I’d call that a bargain… :)
