Would You Fly A Wingsuit Through A Mountain?

Gizmodo AU

I mean, really, is there a stunt insane enough not to try in a wingsuit? On second thoughts, don’t answer that. Wingsuits scare the heck out of me, although there’s no denying that they can make for some awesome video. Like, say… jumping through a hole in a mountain. Not that this is totally insane in any way.

Thanks to Chris for sending this link in. Just watching this is enough to make my head spin; I’m glad that’s not me in the suit.

If I had the money I’d love to get some skydiving/wingsuit lessons (you need something like 200 skydives before you should be using a wingsuit).

Just finished my first sky dive at Wollongong and I simply loved it. I am planning to take up a course which will give me a license to go solo. It’s just a matter of time before I start doing this :) Pretty excited and just can’t wait. If only someone could sponsor me instead of me holding this day job to fund my future free fall :)

I like how he looks like a giant sugar glider from a distance.

Plus they should put a wingsuit chase through that mountain in the next Bond film.

That’s a bloody HUGE hole in a mountain compared to what he was aiming for in his “Flying the Crack” video (or something similar sounding). In that one he was aiming for two party balloons at the entrance to a narrow gully.
