The dots are connecting: we’ve seen a patent that Nike filed for auto-lacing shoes before, there’s a teaser video floating around showing Marty McFly’s closet (chock full of Air Mags, natch) and the invitation NiceKicks received from Nike show the metal glasses Doc Brown famously wore in BTTF II. We’ve seen Nike do BTTF-inspired stuff before (a DeLorean dunk, for example) but this would be the holiest of holy grails.
I don’t know guys, but I think tomorrow might be the happiest day of my life. [NiceKicks]

Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 1:56 PMI’m with you. Anything that even _implies_ that hoverboards are one step closer to reality is OK with me.

Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 2:12 PMThey should have waited till 2015 to make it match the time of the movie. And on that note they have allot of Jaws movies to make and release before 2015

Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 8:43 PMDelorian stopped production in 1982 and the first movie was “set” in 1985. Things should exist before they are used!
