Wee Tripods Cling To Your Camera Bottom

I always forget my tripod, so I have a collection of stupid MySpace-style shots from all over the world. These new Joby tripods collapse down nearly flat beneath your camera so you can keep them connected all the time.

The new Joby Gorillapod Micro 800 and 250 fold themselves up kind of ingeniously to hug the base of the camera, almost integrating into the camera body so you can slip it into your pocket or case with your rig. Joby says the Micro 250 holds cameras weighing up to 250g, and the the GorillaPod Micro 800 supports ones up to 794g. They cost $US20 and $US30, respectively.

It means you won’t have to hold your camera up in front of your face for self-portraits anymore. (And real talk: Those pictures are all kind of sad.) [Joby]
