Well, that’s one way to slip a release out late on a Friday afternoon; while Vodafone announced a little while back that they’d be selling the iPad 2 “soon”, it turns out that “soon” equals “tomorrow”.
The release states that full details will be available tomorrow, but in the meantime they’ve sent through the following pricing table. Gus at Lifehacker’s done the hard work of turning it from a gaudy table of confusion into a simple breakdown — thanks Gus!

Friday, September 30, 2011 at 6:22 PMSorry to burst your bubble but corporate customers have been able to order them for the last 2 weeks. However deliveries are delayed due to time taken for apple to lock the devices to Vodafone. Yes they are locked to Vodafone just like they are for Vodafone uk.

Friday, September 30, 2011 at 10:09 PMI was looking forward to the plans but after seeing them I doubt meany will jump at the chance. 12 month with $439 upfront is a joke. And there is no way I would want to get for 24 months. Sorry vodafone the plans are rubbish.

Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1:07 AMThe pricing seems pretty reasonable to me, even with $439 upfront on a 12 month contract.
Think about it – 64GB Wifi + 3G model retails for $949. The cheapest option with Vodafone – $439 upfront, $55 for 12 months total cost is $1099. So that’s an extra $150, which works out to $12.50/month for 1.5GB data. This is CHEAPER than if you BYO iPad and sign on to their month-to-month data plan of $15 for 1.5GB.
Yes, $439 upfront with a 12 month contract looks a bit crazy at first, but when you do the maths it’s a good deal.

Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 4:16 AMIf you do the maths yes its not too bad because of the data you get with it. But why buy an iPad on a 12month contract with upfront payment of around $400 when you can simply add like another 100 or 200 and get an Android tablet which is far superior to iPads.
