Location-Based Jewellery Helps The GPS Obsessed Accessorise

This pendant from Fluid Forms will knock the socks off your location-crazed friends and bore the uninitiated who think GPS is an acronym for Great Public Schools.

Fluid Forms is selling a silver pendant with the 3D landscape of any location you provide. It forges the pendant using information taken from a satellite image of that oh-so-special place. It’s definitely not for everyone and it isn’t cheap at €300 ($400), but if you have a girl that’s hard to buy for, why not consider some location-based jewellery? It’s definitely unique and absolutely a conversation piece. [Fluid Forms]

This article has no comments because everyone thought this article was about GPS chips inside jewellery, just saying, good con.

I think that you’d want to do something more recognizable and not random. the pic makes it look like foil jewelry. perhaps a cityscape?

Something like this would be an internal “trophy” piece though, not an external “look at me” one. It’s designed to remind the wearer of a special place they and the gifter know about, not necessarily where everyone knows.

ie: The co-ordinates of the church you got married in, or the co-ordinates of the restaurant you had your first date in, etc etc.
