Eric Schmidt was at some conference for enterprise business stiffs talking about nonsense involving incentivising vendors to increase marketshare or something. But he let a juicy bit of info slip: Ice Cream Sandwich is coming in October or November.
Previous rumours had suggested that Ice Cream Sandwich would come in October and Schmidt himself said that the update would arrive in “October or November”. (See 30:25 in the above clip.) Android fanboys, rev your engines. [AndroidandMe via TheNextWeb]

Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 9:20 AMDo we actually know what’s going to be in ICS yet? I know all the Android diehards are calling it “The big one”, but I haven’t heard a single report about what’s actually going to be in it.

Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11:51 AMIve lost a lot of respect for android since I got my Nexus S. Expect ICS to come out in November but probably wont be usuable until 4-5 patches later around Feb-Mar. Going on their recent track record.
Im sick of them releasing stuff not finished and buggy. If they are unifying both the tablets and mobiles with this update I can just see problems.. I dont think its worth the risk to bother with it till the new year.
