Brunchtime Deal: $199 PS3, $129 3DS

Gizmodo AU

An early lunchtime deal today; Catch Of The Day is holding a flash sale from midday AEST, so I thought I’d get in early to allow you time to register over there if it piques your interest. Amongst the goods they’re flogging off (decided by popular vote) are PS3 Slims (bet on the lower storage model) for $199, 3DS for $129 and $5 Nerf Guns. I could go me a $5 Nerf Gun, but something tells me you’ll have to be quick with a click to score a bargain. [Catch Of The Day]

yeah its almost not worth mentioning these prices, they’re pretty much hypothetical when next to noone can get in to purchase!

It’s an item an hour. 6 featured deals and 6 ones we don’t know about. The last deal will be at 11pm. There have only been nerf guns and headphones so far (to answer your question about the 3DS having already disappeared.

I had a nerf gun in the cart and filled out all the details, hit purchse, and like 5 mins later when the next page loaded it said SORRRYYY SOLD OUT.

Your eally do have to be quick.

The last time they threw one of these I picked up a Samsung Galaxy Tab for $399 I think when its RRP was $899.

    You all are being taken.
Not once in the last 4 flash sales was anyone able to land on the page. Poor server tolerance for a website which claims to be #1 ecommerce site in Australia. 9 out of 10 days you will see the website selling bed linenen and Egyptian towels.

It may be good. But it is definitely miles from being awesome. Also, Flash Sale means “Avoid me today”

The Nerf gun, monitor, PS3, and the 3DS all sold out in approximately twenty seconds. Trust me, I was on the damned ball with this one and didn’t get a single item. The Facebook comments were full of the same. They clearly only had about five of each item

I was right on the ball with every item on a desktop powered by Telstra super-fast broadband wired to my pc to make even faster and I could not land a single deal except for a 5 bucks headphones who where not one of the Hot deals. I’m curious if anyone made it and if it did what could they buy in a such short time. The 3DS sold out in less the 30 secs or so i got into the paypal confirmation page and when i clicked on pay now it got me back into the webpage saying the item was sold.
In my point of view this site should be boycotted as it fakes sales with the intention of getting peoples attention to sell other items. Shame but it all on our hands. I have send them an email but I only got back a crap reply as I expected.
