Acer’s announced local pricing for the Iconia Tab A100, as well as announcing that the 16GB version won’t make its way to Australian shores.
First of all, the pricing. The 8GB Iconia Tab A100 will cost $479, a rather hefty premium over the $US330 asking price, and a pretty clear indication that Acer’s sticking to a rigid pricing strategy no matter what its rivals do. The US wasn’t that thrilled with the A100 in any case, and with Samsung’s overnight announcement of the Galaxy Tab 7.7, this might be a tablet best left on the shelf.
