
While many of the shots were staged, In Focus’s Alan Taylor notes these people and their jobs were the real deal. There were 1,600 photographs in all, most of them of women in war factories or workers conducting other homefront activities here in the States. It is excellent we have the technology today to keep images like this, with out the fear of degradation and total loss. Especially when they reflect an important part of history.
