You can just access VUDU by going to Vudu.com in Safari. The new web app uses Apple’s HTTP Live adaptive bit rate streaming to maintain good quality streams but movies are limited to only standard def streaming (TV shows fluctuate in quality depending on internet connection). There’s over 20,000 movies to rent or buy on the website and all previous purchases will be instantly watchable. I never prefer a web app over a native app but VUDU’s take isn’t so bad. Why do you bother posting this article on gizmodo.com.au? What a waste of time.

Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 3:14 PMSo i guess you haven’t heard of spoofing your location.
Only in the US only means its unofficially available everywhere else.
I personally would like to see someone spoof their location, pay for netflix than get Hollywood to sue them just to hear the judge say “So he is paying for your movies but your still suing him because your too stupid to allow him to do it his own country” Hollywood: “yep”

Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 8:16 AMHi i just downloaded this wonderful service on my Xbox360 in Australia with my dodgy American profile and i think its a awesome app perfect quality but i cant buy as if i sign in it wont work so i just watch previews , but what i want to know is why we cant have this app in Australia on our Xbox ? we got Zune but that’s expensive we got crackle so did America but the quality is poor seems to pix-elated in action scenes and most things don’t even play ,
I think we need this kind of app and others or most of us that are missing out will just download torrents and all these so called Hollywood people will lose money so give us Australians the Vudu app and others we will pay
