The Aroma Lid Makes Your Coffee Smell And Taste Great

Coffee from your favourite doughnut shop has a problem. It doesn’t taste as good as it should because the lid traps in the wonderful aroma. Taste is 95 per cent smell, so you’re really missing out.

Mint Urban Technologies has a solution for this sensory shortcoming. It’s designed the Aroma Lid, a new cover that’s infused with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. When you take a sip, you smell and taste a wonderful, full-bodied brew. The scent is subtle enough that you can’t easily detect the odour, yet strong enough to stimulate your sense of smell. The Hong Kong company hopes to distribute these scented lids in bulk without branding and branded for smaller coffee retailers. [Mint Urban Technologies via Gizmag]

Ummm, no. The reason why the coffee from your doughnut shop is rubbish is because it is made by some zit-faced sixteen year old called “Liam” who is more interested in updating his Facebook status than applying himself to the task at hand. Ain’t no Hong Kong plastic lid gonna fix that wrongness.

And who the hell buys coffee from a doughnut shop expecting it to be even remotely good anyway?

Agree with chriso. Covering up a crap coffee with a nicer aroma is like a $2 hooker. Pay yo money get better quality. Can’t mask up a poo with just deoderiser. Gotta get rid if that poo.
