Snooze For iPhone: Donate Money Every Time You Hit The Snooze Button

RIINNNNGGGGGG. Ah, frack. Not again. It can’t be 7am already. I can’t get… SNOOZE… up. Repeat. Snooze. Repeat. How many times do you hit the snooze button on your alarm? Too many. With Snooze for iPhone, every time you hit snooze donates money to a non-profit.

What’s it do?

It’s an alarm app that donates $US0.25 to a non-profit organisation (under the LetGive umbrella) every time you hit the snooze button. Think about that, from now on every time you’re feeling lazy and can’t get out of bed, you’re actually helping somebody! The app doesn’t force you to donate either, it just makes it a helluva lot easier. Snooze will asks you two times a month if you would like to donate your snooze hits to the non-profit of your choice.

Why do we like it?

My former roommate hit the snooze button at least 10-20 times a day. I couldn’t understand it. What a waste of time! Why not set your alarm later? No matter. We all have our philosophical differences on getting up but if you can help a “good” organisation at a rate that won’t dent your wallet while still doing what you do, what’s not to like? I’m not sure if this is supposed to encourage or discourage snoozing but if you have half a heart, you’d sign up for this (though I do wish you could pick your own charity and the rate at which you would want to donate per snooze).
