Remember Bernie Madoff With iPad Cases Made From His Old Pants

Ponzi-schemester Bernie Madoff has already gone through the shame of seeing hundreds of his belongings auctioned off, but now he’ll have to live with the knowledge that lawyers are dressing their iPads in cases made from his old sweaters.

Upcycled and turned into iPad cases, the Christian Dior sweater and Bergdorf Goodman cardigans “sold almost instantly, just by word of mouth” according to John Vaccaro who bought the clothes at auction and sold the cases for $US500 apiece under the Frederick James brand.

Expect to see cases made from Ralph Lauren pants in the future, with each pair of pants being good for four cases’ worth of fabric apparently, and the cashmere sweaters good for three cases. I just hope he had better style than his ex-finance boss. [NY Post]
