Man Escapes Police Curfew Just By Taking Off His Fake Leg

29-year-old Christopher Lowcock was put under a court-ordered curfew for driving, drug charges and carrying a weapon. They even tagged his leg to keep him under surveillance. That didn’t stop him, of course. All he had to do was take the thing off and away he went.

Two British security staff got fired for Lowcock’s genius ploy. Before he was outfitted for the G4S tagging device, he wrapped his prosthetic leg in bandages to convince them it was real. Not exactly foolproof, but it worked. It continued to work even after he got caught driving (sans leg?), and was put back into custody.
