Lunchtime Deal: Quakecon 2011 Steam Sale

Gizmodo AU

To celebrate Quakecon, Steam has been running different price cuts all weekend. Today’s deal: 66 per cent off Fallout 3 (now $US6.75) and 50 per cent off Fallout: New Vegas (now $US20). Though Steam tends to make Aussies pay more, it’s still something I guess. The Quakecon Pack 2011 looks interesting, too: US$70 gets you every single game from id Software and Bethesda Games. Including Commander Keen! [Steam]

I bought this on the weekend. One thing to keep in mind is that if you don’t get free quota from Steam, these games will take over 40gb of your quota.

Once you add DLC to the daily deal, you’re paying close enough to as much for Fallout 3 and New Vegas ($58ish) as you’ll pay for the entire Quakecon pack which includes the DLC and a dozen other games ($70). I’m still trying to persuade myself to buy it.
