Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:48 AMCalling hoax…. you ever seen a tree hit by lightning? The get splintered into millions of pieces. No thunder heard anywhere else either….. Last time a bolt of lightning went off within a km of my house the thunder nearly shook the house from its foundations.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 3:35 PMHaving seen a tree hit by lightning I can say they don’t all explode like you say. One behind my house was still fine, only one little bit of the tree exploded out and sent a piece of the tree bout 2 feet long into the ground like a stake.
It also was only 1 loud bang, no vibrations etc. We were less then 50m away from it.
