Judge Rules Students Can Legally Slut It Up On MySpace

If a student chooses to represent his/herself as a whorebag, that’s no business of their school, a federal judge has decided. This follows two teenage girls who posted slutty photos on MySpace and were dealt with aggressively by their school.

The two students posted the pictures back in 2009, in case you were curious about the mention of “MySpace” — though really, I thought the site was kind of dead even back then? Anyway, the school violated the teenager’s first amendment rights according to the federal judge presiding in the case, by banning them from extracurricular activities; forcing them to apologise to a coaches’ board comprised of men, and even seek counseling. So now you know — and can get back to those above-the-head shots safe with the knowledge you’re only harming yourself. [Yahoo News]
