Here’s What Catwoman Looks Like In The Dark Knight Rises

You know how awesome Superman looked? Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman is like the opposite of that. Like, seriously what the heck. Does she have on 3D glasses? Where’s the sexy? Where’s the cat?! Where’s the woman!?

There’s been reports that Hathaway’s Catwoman was going to be less sexy and more tactical, so I guess there’s that explanation but Hathaway looks a little silly, no? Granted, she’s credited as Selina Kyle here so maybe there’s a little more to Catwoman than what this picture (officially released by Warner Bros) shows but I feel like I’m going to laugh every time I see her in the movie. I’m assuming they meant having the articles picture visible in the article preview. I’m kind of disappointed too now.. I wanted to see as little of this as I could before it came out.

But you’ll see more than the above picture as you line up to get your ticket at the cinema.

In any event, I don’t see how it classifies as a spoiler. Thats unless a picture of a person on a bike is enough to spoil it for you in which case you were likely going to have it ruined many times over well before next yeas opening.

Not if you avoid trailers and the like.

This is something neither Max nor I wanted to see, and now that we’ve seen it on the front page, we wish we hadn’t.

            Is that so wrong?

Not wrong, per se, but definitely stupid. It’s a photo that gives nothing away except that Catwoman wears goggles when she’s riding. I can’t see any way at all that will spoil the film for you or anyone else. After all, there will be trailers that give far more away and you’re not going to be able to avoid them.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I’m just disappointed that this character was revealed to me no matter the method. You can’t argue that. And I simply answered Richard’s question as he asked one.

Yeah but the point is you havent even seen a trailer…you saw a picture. The posters littered around the cinema are going to contain imagery from the film also so you aren’t going to avoid it.

I could understand if the title gave you information on the film or if it had a trailer that auto played when the article opened (why someone avoiding spoilers even opened the article I don’t know however), but this really doesn’t give anything away at all.

I can understand not wanting a film to be spoilt….I’ve avoided trailers for a few films in the past and likely will for the Alien prequel next year…but the above is certainly not even in the same ballpark as a spoiler.

A ridiculous comment, when you are watching tv and the trailer comes on what are you going to do? What about when you watch this movie and beforehand the trailers come one? Do you get up and leave? What a ridiculous comment.

You are just as ignorant as the 2 posters replying to my posts.

Richard asked a question and I answered it. Now, all three of you think I’m trying to justify Max’s problem with this article – I’m not!

I’m disappointed that I can’t avoid things like this, but I’m not complaining about this article though, I’m answering someone’s question by relating to the opinion of Max’s. He complained – not me. Are you all blind?

Still pictures will never give a judge of catwoman quality, it’s about the fluidity of the motion, the jumping, running, even the little strut.

Everyone thought the idea of Heath Ledger playing the Joker was stupid before it came out as well, and look how that turned out.

I’ll reserve judgment till I’ve seen it.

Consider how awful the original series was; lazily written, copied verbatim from comic books, zero character development, and marketed to adults but written for the 8-11 age group.

The previous films from the dark night series are all fantastic, which use the characters and work their own way, why should this be any different?

Do you really want another remake of batman and robin?

Shes on a bike…I imagine in the scene she’ll be shooting around at a pretty decent pace. The “Sexy” probably won’t be so important for the scene and the mask could just be for the scene. Meh.

This picture isn’t exactly a good way to judge the character.

“How awesome the new Superman looked”

Is this like, a massive prank that everyone but myself is taking part in? He looks ridiculous.

If Anne would lose the goggles, there wouldn’t be much of a problem here. If she’d strip down to nothing but her boots, I reckon there’d be an Oscar in it.

We don’t know if this is the full costume. A stunt double was spotted wearing and holding a more traditional mask. This is probably a preliminary ‘action outfit’, similar to how the first Bale costume was just the unpainted body armour + balaklava.

My understanding is this isn’t a picture released by Warner Bros. They are waiting to release a better picture of her. I think this a pre-final costume to be honest.

‘A picture is worth a thousand words’, whether those words have any type of relevance is another story! It may be a little early to make judgments about a movie from one photo that may not have anything to do with the final cut.

I like the new look. “Catwoman” now makes more sense, wearing a military style Cat suit, built for espionage, stealth, robbery, all attributes of the original comic book character.

What about the last one wasn’t Grade A Cheddar.

It had some awesome action sequences and Heath Ledger’s performance, while slightly heightened by his untimely death, was really the only non action bright light in what was a heavy handed moral lesson with cheesy dialogue that was on par with, realised after a recent regretted re-watch, ‘The Untouchables’.

‘Because you were the best of us! He wanted to prove that even someone as good as you could fall.’ (In full breathy/growly voice.)
