It seems the good folks at Mozilla just set the latest version of Firefox loose. It promises to be 20% faster than the already zippy Version 5. It also gets a facelift and a speed boost on Android. Neat.
A “speed boost” is not all it needs for Android. It needs a complete redesign. I’ve got the Samsung Galaxy S II (currently the fastest device on the market, for reference..) and constant lag and crashes are a regular occurrence.
Um dude, this article is about the Firefox for computers, not mobile devices. Re-read the article if necessary, and please, take a good look at the screenshot as well.
Mozilla need to slow up with the releases to allow theme and addon managers to update their themes & addons. It might seem like a small point, and some may not care as long as they’re getting a better base browser, but addons are the only reason many of us haven’t yet moved to Chrome full time. Just a thought.
