American Airlines Adds Wireless Movies To All Its 767s

You can take that issue of SkyMall and choke yourself with it, because American Airlines flights are now a little more fun! TechCrunch reports AA is pushing its Gogo streaming video service to all 767s, offering 100 films and episodes.

A TV show will cost you a buck a pop, and movies will run at four each — pretty standard. Each piece of video pie will beam straight to your laptop (and later tablet) via Wi-Fi, so you don’t have to bother with those minuscule displays mounted to the back of each seat that’s always smeared with gross finger grease anyway. Best of all, you won’t have to pony up for in-flight internet access to get the goods. [TechCrunch]

Uhm… So you have to use wi-fi on your computer to rent movies in the airplanes, where use of wi-fi is banned?… I must’ve misunderstood something cause this sounds pretty stupid. Especially considering the fact most airplanes offers movies and tv-shows for free on their screens. I wouldn’t pay $4 to watch it my on my computer instead of their screen.
