You Can Download OS X Lion Right Now

OS X Lion is indeed now available for download from the Australian Mac App Store (tip: wait till you’re off peak). The 3.5GB download will cost you $32, and upgrades your Mac with over 250 new features—some of which you may be just as happy without. [Mac App Store]

Must be a big strain on the servers. It’s taking forever to start downloading. Just sitting there “waiting”.
I just wish it would hurry up and start so i know its happening before i go to bed, i don’t care how slow it goes as long as its going.

Finally! After an hours waiting for it to start downloading. It starts :). As long as the estimates on the download time are correct it shouldn’t spill over into my on-peak time. Cross fingers.

I’m in China trying to download it, and it’s taking forever too. It’s been on for about 3 hours and it’s only one or two pixels of blue bar. I consistently get 500kb/s d/l on torrents and the App Store isn’t blocked in China so god knows what’s happening.

It would be nice if they at least provided and little stat pop-up on apps showing how much/how much is done, current speed and ETA…… terrible implementation….
