World’s Steepest Roller Coaster Makes Me Shudder

It must be quite amazing to scream for your life while not enjoying the beautiful Mout Fuji backdrop. [Takabisha (Japanese) via Fuji-Q TechCrunch]

I went to Fuji-Q earlier this year – its such a bizarre theme park. A tiny park out in the country side with the most insane roller coasters!

I was at Fuji-Q last month! Definitely agree with Ben ^ but it was so much fun, especially the weird mascots that they show on all the TVs showing what you shouldn’t do in the park.

I saw this roller coaster as well, but didn’t get to go on (I don’t think it was open yet?)

I’m not sure about the “steepest” claim. There are plenty of roller coasters around the world which go vertical and you can’t get any steeper than that. Looks fun though.

It’s a strange claim but it is based on the 120 degree slope after the initial drop from the top so it’s not straight down, it kinks into a negative(?) slope momentarilly. I get what they mean but that means a loop is a 360 degree drop which would be steeper using their logic.

I would go on it except the pause at the bottom and again at the top may be too much for me. I would rather just zoom through it.

    And they didn’t even scream.
