Windows Phone Mango Will Support Front-Facing Cameras

It was a little bit eyebrow-raising when Microsoft made no mention of a front-facing camera in Windows Phone Mango. Thankfully in Mango’s Beta 2 Dev Tools, there’s a button that’ll toggle front and rear cameras. Welcome to the present!

It’s not exactly official yet, but what else could that button do? Plus, everyone else has one so Windows Phone Mango, to stay feature consistent, has to have a front facing camera too. Right? RIGHT?! [WPCentral]

Finally video calls on WP7 anyone? I know I rarely used it before – but when I did it was hugely helpful.

Amazing how microsoft looks like getting a front facing camera and its “welcome to the present!”

The iPhone cant even make a 3G video call so when will they be comming to the present?

When the iPhone finaly has wireless sync will you welcome it to the present? I suspect it will be revolutionary

Microsoft need this to make full use of their new skype purchase.

Given skype video is now on other devices also it has a real chance of becoming the defacto video chat.

Facetime will never catch on well with the fact it’s only iOS to iOS.
