Where Are All The Girls On Google+?

Ok ladies, ‘fess up. Why are you not joining Google+? It’s fun, it’s new and it really, really needs a feminine touch.

According to information from Google+ stat trackers SocialStatistics and FindPeopleOnPlus, the new social network is dominated by men. And it’s not even close — up to 86.8% of all Google+ users are male. This distribution is much different from Facebook which has a 50/50 split of male and female users.

So girls, it’s time to break away from the comfort of your Facebook friends and venture into the wild west of a Google-sponsored social network. Trust me, it’ll be fun.[ Mashable; Shutterstock/vectomart]

There are no girls on the internet. They’re all men posing as girls.

Is it just me that sees the irony in Kelly saying – “girls get on google +” and ” time to break away from the comfort of your Facebook friends” but then ends her post with:

“You can keep up with Kelly Hodgkins, the author of this post, on Twitter or Facebook.”

I’m sure once it’s actually out of beta the numbers will change. I signed up cause I was interested but I’ll care more about it once more people are on it & it actually has more features.

This article just makes my own social network service idea, “Sausage Party”, seem like a more and more hilarious idea.

    50:50 Split facebook?
    How does that work?
50% of the girls on facebook(stalkbook) are ‘Lesbians’ and 99% of them are guys pretending to be lesbians.

I’m the one in my circle of friends who got g+ first and invited all my friends. I had more female friends on fb asking me for invites than male friends!

I’d like to join Google+ but isn’t it still invite-only at this point? Certainly wouldn’t mind if anyone with a spare invite cares to send it my way!

Currently “29,607″ sheep that are too stupid to make their own decisions so they let google do the thinking for them.
I find it ironic that Mark Zuckerberg has almost twice as many followers as Larry Page. I had to laugh when I saw Leo Laporte there: Just shows the quality of users supporting this data mining POS.

This is a closed beta. It’s not meant for people to really know about.

      Google+ hasn’t had it’s beginning yet.

Maybe because they are smart enough to let the men wreck everything and test it all out, before collecting the completed, polished version later.
