When I said that the world doesn’t need dog collars, a few individuals said that it doesn’t really hurt – that dogs really didn’t really noticed. Well, as this video of testing in humans shows, dog collars do indeed hurt.
Because, you know, if they didn’t really hurt, then they wouldn’t have any bloody effect in the dog, right? You can read a lot more about the whole dog collar history and effectivity at [Motherboard]

From Oxford Dictionary site:

- injure or kill (someone) by electric shock
Note the “injure” bit.

Friday, July 22, 2011 at 2:47 PMDamn things should be banned.
either that or the owner must be made to wear one if they put one on their dog.
It’s just lazy and cruel dog training.

Friday, July 22, 2011 at 6:47 PMIncredibly cruel devices. Dogs barking is a symptom of a problem, its not the problem itself. By “curing” the barking with a torture device you aren’t solving the problem.
Pro tips: The problem is almost always boredom.

Monday, July 25, 2011 at 2:48 PMBeing human you have one advantage over a dog…
You can take it if some one zaps you.
I can’t believe these thing are still readily available via eBay etc..
I was under the impression they were banned (in Australia anyway) But I still see them on dogs.
Also a side effect I have seen from the use of these collars are large saws on the dogs neck cause from the rather weighty module rubbing against the dogs skin as the dog move around and over a surprisingly short time too.
Please don’t use them..
If you’re too lazy to get off your arse to see what your dog is barking at, train it or spend time with it. Maybe you shouldn’t own one..
