$US300 Sonos S3 All-In-One Speaker Leaked On Amazon

The first truly-affordable Sonos product appeared on Amazon for a short while before being pulled – and spotted by eagle-eyes. The all-in-one speaker system has been rumoured for some time, but with Amazon’s $US300 listing it’s looking a darn sight more realistic.

Little detail was added to the Amazon listing, but it does confirm the PLAY3US1BLK will play “digital music with HiFi sound with three driver speaker system, three digital amps, one tweeter, two mid range drivers and one bass radiator.” Like all Sonos products, it can be added to so different songs can be played in different rooms (streamed over your new Spotify account, naturally), and controlled by iOS or Android products.

The all-in-one product weighs 3.5kg and measures 12.3 x 9.5 x 8.6 inches. While availability wasn’t mentioned on the listing, we’re going to take a stab in the dark and say that Sonos should be announcing this pretty shortly. [Amazon via Engadget]

I would say Sonos will be announcing the S3 in the next 2 days. On July 21st, Sonos is holding a media event in Sydney, which will more than likely be showcasing the S3.

Don’t get too excited – bet it’ll be $499 in Australia!!

Seriously – there’s a market for a decent $100 wifi speaker that can stream mp3′s – UPnP perhaps. Must have a wireless remote with at least a LCD display to pick an album.
