A UK job listing wants temporary iPhone Sales Staff for an “exciting project” beginning August 16. Could this be the launch date of the rumoured iPhone 5? Maybe, maybe not. We’ll have to wait and see. [Reed via CNET UK]
Umm, that doesn’t hint at August 16 launch, more like September launch. Do you think these temps would be productive members of the Apple team on Day 1 after hiring them? They obviously would need some training.
your right – I’d say no more than 1 week training though. How hard can it be. “Queue up nicely please sir” “500 pounds please sir” “pay over there please sir”
They need to be untrained, this takes longer. They need to forget how to say ‘unfortunately’ and instead say “as it turns out, you are an idiot that just spent three days camping on the footpath for a phone that you can order online” like I wil be! Hurry up Apple!
I don’t see why it would not be launching on August 16. It clearly states there is a training period before.
If you are successful, full training will be provided and you will be required to attend a 4 day training event 9th -12th August 2011 in the London area.
So in theory they will be trained up and ready to go on the 16th, and as other people have mentioned, not much point in hiring extra staff the week before the launch right?
