They do not have freedom, and that is what the custodial sentence is about.

Especially with a case like this, there’s no sense in punishment. People like him just need to be removed from society and, one would hope, never brought back in. I always try to have compassion for other humans, but he’s messed up his chance to live among us.
But the whole ‘suffering’ thing people are obsessed with regarding jails, is just revenge. Very primitive.
