HP has employed eccentric comedian Russell Brand to hawk its heart-breaking TouchPad because, really, what better way to target the enterprise than an ad featuring Russell Brand sitting on a set that’s modeled to look like someone’s home?
That said, if humor and showing off an impossibly polished HP TouchPad feature set were the goals here, mission accomplished. His style of humor, while undoubtedly subdued here by whatever ad agency put these 30-second clips together, works when it comes to blending WebOS features with zany one-liners and that unmistakable accent.
