Designed for the Royal College of Art graduate’s project, the alarm clock has been combined with a two-socket extension lead for plugging appliances into. While only a coffee maker, lamp, radio and fan seem to be supported now, I’m sure Kim is hard at work planning a donut machine for the US market.

Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 9:22 AMI bought one of these in 1981 to run my stereo system as an alarm clock. I’ve been using it ever since. What’s new about this? (OK, it’s plastic rather than metal, and the control switch seems to be a lot harder to manipulate when you’re half asleep).
